Pink-tinted stone work characterises the façade of this old church now converted into a homely villa in Spello, one of Umbria’s best preserved medieval villages. A spacious and stylish villa for rent perfectly positioned to explore both locally on foot and via public transport, transfer service or hire car, which is recommended for access to the many charming hill towns dotted around the region.
The perfectly kept garden and compact swimming pool are immersed in a holiday paradise and offer incredible views of the pristine countryside. The several shaded areas and arched patio are the ideal setting to relax with a book or enjoy a delicious meal prepared by a local cook. Villa Spello offers a charming and authentic experience in the heart of the medieval town centre. While the narrow, cobblestone streets preserve the area’s historic character, they are not recommended for those with reduced mobility and luggage is unloaded just 50 meters from the villa’s entrance. The house manager provides clear directions in advance and meets guests at the unloading point to ensure a smooth arrival. A parking permit and instructions guide guests to the nearest parking area, making the transition to and from the villa hassle-free.
The thick stone walls keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter months, making the house an ideal temperature in all seasons without the need for air-conditioning. Two of the three double bedrooms are located in the main building, one above the other, while the third bedroom is accessible directly from the garden. All bedrooms have en suite facilities. Above the living room there is a spacious studio with a full-size sofa bed that can accommodate teenagers or young adults. Please note that this villa is not recommended for young children. For larger groups, a gate in the garden connects Villa Spello to Garden House, for a total of 6 double bedrooms and one studio.
