For centuries Venice has been a locus and inspiration for art, literature, fashion, gastronomy, music and film. This city will take your breath away. Effortlessly you will walk the regal Rialto bridge, be awed by the staggering Doges Palace and St Mark's Basilica, socialise in St Mark’s Square, be impressed by the scale and gaudiness of the gondolas and fall in love with the laguna. After absorbing her fusion of architectural styles, brim filled museums, churches and labyrinthine streets escape to the magical islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello, Mazzorbo or simply disappear to the Lido with its renowned beaches and fine restaurants. People watch, eat fresh seafood and cicchetti bar snacks and just keep pinching yourself- it's real.
Venice & Veneto
With an incredibly rich history, endless tales of trouble and triumph and plenty of secret spots to unveil, Venice is the city that makes movie stars of us all. The sheer exhilaration felt on arrival by taking a mahogany and leather lined water taxi and gracefully pulling up outside the dock to your private house or quay side hotel is hard to beat. Probably the original multi cultural centre this city beguiles you with sheer uniqueness, its liberalness, artistry, artisans and glassware. The world still comes to Venice and Essenza offers beautiful, centrally located houses, apartments and luxury hotels.

Our Venetian experiences
The secret beauty of Venice is that in addition to the endless charms of her own, the city is located in Veneto. The area between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene famously produce prosecco and the region is home to fine red wines such as the Amarone della Valpolicella and Bardolino. Nearby are the worthy cities of Verona (of Romeo and Juliette fame), Padua and Treviso. With this in mind we've selected a cicchetti plateful of ideas to sample.
